Chittoor: Congress’s mandalam secretary N Manikantan, an Athikuzhi native, quit party resigning his post and joined CPI(M).
A meeting welcoming N Manikantan to the party was held at Chittoor, presided by CPI(M) District Committee member Suresh Babu. Others in attendance included : Local Committee Secretaries H Jayan, V Swaminathan and Balasangam Area Secretary R Vipin.
