Palakkad : 30 paraty workers including candidate during local body elections and her family severed their ties with BJP party to join CPI(M) in Palakkad. The switch over took place in Edavam ward of Peringalmala panchayat where Sindhu, the prior candidate, and others tendered their resignations from BJP.
The newcomers were accorded welcome by CPI(M) Area Committee member AM Ansari . Speakers at the event comprised : Peringalmala Local Committee Secretary, George Joseph; AKS District Secretary, Suresh ; District Joint secretary Keshore; Area Secretary Sadanandan Kani; Perunthalmala Pancyath committee presient Kottilkuzhi Anil, CPI(M) Branch Secretaries Sudarshanan and Mukundan.
